Mission:
The Center for the Promotion of
Learning Abilities is an educational training, consulting and
counseling consortium. It’s programs are designed and
delivered around a coherent and innovative philosophical and
theoretical framework drawn from the SYSTEMS VIEW of
understanding human motivation, learning and behavior.

working conditions by optimizing Human
Learning Potential and Productivity.
- Curriculum Development and
Cross-cultural / Diversity Training.
- Pre- and In-service training
for professionals working with special
needs population.

of proactive and transformational
leadership.
About the
Director:
Dr. Pattabi Raman, a native of
India, has a Ph.D., in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of
Calcutta, and an Ed.D., from the University of Massachusetts. He
came to the field of education and human development by choice
after pursuing a decade long career as a research biochemist at
the Ayerst Laboratories in Montreal.
In 1970 he joined a
multidisciplinary team at the Center for the Study of Human
Potential at the University of Massachusetts to work on the ANISA
Educational Model. The central focus of the Model was to
translate SYSTEMS VIEW of Reality in actualizing human potential
at all levels of operation at an optimal rate. He was a member of
graduate faculty at the Universities of Massachusetts, of Hawaii
and National in San Diego, CA. He has over 20 years of experience
in translating Systems Philosophy into human resource development
and staff training programs.
Currently Dr. Raman is a senior
faculty in both the Education Division and the Human Services
Division of Capella University, a leading distance learning
institution for higher learning. His professional and research
interest is in applying advances in brain research to optimize
learning and work potential. He has guest lectured in several
universities across the globe and has directed educational and
training projects in various cultural settings. Dr. Raman has
authored two books, several anthologies and has published over
thirty five professional articles both in biochemistry and in
human development.
